A rant. For real. (And a lesson, I guess.)
Today was a kick in the gut.
Less than one week until our much anticipated concert with Alex Goot, I walk into our final meeting and am met with down faces. The BC Liquor Licensing Board had only that morning informed The Rio Theatre, our venue, that due to their newly approved liquor licence, minors would not be allowed into the venue after 5 PM. I kinda wanna rant about how incredibly stupid people can be when they ride transit or when they’re shopping, and how the basest forms of respect, common sense, and responsibility are thrown out the window when people are placed in some of the simplest social situations.
